John Foskett was born in England, and died, July 11, 1689 in Charlestown, MA. He married (1) Hannah Leach in Charlestown, MA, daughter of Richard Leach and Mary.  She died January 31, 1682/83 in Charlestown, MA.  He married (2) Elizabeth Powell, daughter of William Powell and Elizabeth.  She was born August 22, 1642 in Charlestown, MA, and died January 31, 1681/82 in Charlestown, MA 

Son of John Foskett and Elizabeth Powell is Robert Fosgate Robert Fosgate was born April 4, 1672 in Charlestown, MA and died after 1741 in Bolton, MA.  He married (1) Mercy Goodwin March 27, 1700 in Charlestown, MA, daughter of Christopher Goodwin and Joanna Johnson.  She was born June 6, 1680 in Charlestown, MA and died February 26, 1713/14 in Charlestown, MA.  He married (2) Susanna Whitney November 1, 1715. 

Son of Robert Fosgate and Mercy Goodwin is Robert Fosgate Robert Fosgate was born April 1, 1704 in Charlestown, MA.  He married Sarah Howe 1731 in Marlboro, MA.  She was born in Marlboro, MA.  They settled in Berlin part of Bolton, Ma.  He was a soldier in the Revolution.  Served in the Crown Point Expedition. 

Son of Robert Fosgate and Sarah Howe is  Joel Fosgate. Joel Fosgate was born March 16, 1750/51 in Bolton, MA and died March 24, 1824 in Berlin, MA.  He married Naomi Gilbert December 22, 1777 in Bolton, MA, daughter of Luke Gilbert and Elizabeth Barnes.  She was born March 14, 1757 in Brookfield, MA and died October 1, 1839 in Berlin, MA.   Joel was a private in Benjamin Hastings company of Minutemen.  Like his father he was a soldier in the Revolution. 

Son of Joel Fosgate and Naomi Gilbert is Mendall Fosgate. Mendall Fosgate was born June 13, 1781 in Berlin, MA.  He married Sally Spofford August 3, 1801 in Berlin MA, daughter of Samuel Spofford and Eunice Goddard.  She was born 1786. 

Son of Mendall Fosgate and Sally Spofford is Oliver Fosgate. Oliver Fosgate was born August 8, 1803 in Berlin, MA and died June 29, 1870 in Berlin, MA.  He married Lucy Houghton April 10, 1832 in Berlin, MA, daughter of Silas Houghton and Lucy Farnsworth.  She was born February 28, 1804 in Bolton, MA and died January 20, 1886 in Berlin, MA. 

Only child of Oliver Fosgate and Lucy Houghton is Charles Oscar Fosgate. Charles Oscar Fosgate was born June 22, 1840 in Berlin, MA.  He married Ellen F. Hastings June 27, 1865 in Concord, MA, daughter of Jonas Hastings and Almira Jones.  She was born June 15, 1844 in Concord, MA.  (See following notes from "History of the Town of Berlin" by Hudson., 1895)   "Charles O. Fosgate, son of Oliver Fosgate, is one of the musical fraternity of the town.  He evinced early in life a prediliction for music.  His natural genius, aided by by competent instruction, developed into a first-class teacher of music.  His special forte was on the piano, but he was proficient on other instruments.  The field here was too limited and he sought the metropolis of New England, where he remained for twenty years or more. He now resides in San Diego, Cal." 

Only child of Charles Oscar Fosgate and Ellen F. Hastings is Charles Hastings Fosgate born April 9, 1867, Berlin, MA, died 1921, Cambridge, MA. He married Sarah May Stearns 1892, daughter of Marshall Stearns and Elizabeth Young.  She was born November 4, 1868 in Portland, Maine, and died May 2, 1949 in Cambridge, MA. Charles Hastings Fosgate lived with his grandmother, Lucy Houghton Fosgate until he was 14 years old.  He became a very successful business man in Cambridge, MA. 

Only Child of Charles Hastings Fosgate and Sarah May Stearns is Charles Marshall Fosgate born May 26, 1898 in Cambridge, MA and died July 13, 1954 in Arlington, MA.  He married Edna Gertrude Steele May 9, 1921 in Waverly, MA, daughter of Avard Steele and Emma Rice.  She was born October 26, 1893 in Marblehead, MA and died June 4, 1964 in Cambridge, MA. 

Only son of Charles Fosgate and Emma Steele is Charles Marshall Fosgate born January 16, 1931.  Married 1955 to Florence Southwick Potter. 

Only son of Charles Fosgate and Florence Potter is Charles Hastings Fosgate born June 14, 1965.
